Breast Reduction

What is Breast Reduction?

Breast reduction, or reduction mammoplasty, makes the breasts smaller, lighter, and more proportionate to the body, helping to ease the chronic neck or back pain of large, heavy breasts.

Am I a Candidate for Breast Reduction Surgery?

The best candidates for breast reduction surgery are women with very large and fully developed breasts that cause chronic pain or discomfort. Women who intend to breastfeed are advised to postpone breast reduction until their children are weaned.

How Does Breast Reduction Surgery Work?

Prior to your surgery, Dr. Kjar will give you specific preoperative guidelines. Carefully follow these instructions. Breast reduction surgery typically takes two to four hours to complete. Techniques for breast reduction vary, depending on individual anatomy, but the most common procedure involves an incision around the areola and downward, following the natural curve beneath the breast.

Your breast reduction procedure will include a consultation and services from Candessa Aesthetics at no extra cost, which will also help to improve your recovery.
