Abdominoplasty

What is a Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)?

Commonly referred to as a tummy tuck, abdominoplasty significantly improves the appearance of the abdomen by removing excess skin and stretch marks. The tummy tuck has become one of the most popular plastic surgery options available.

Am I a Candidate for a Tummy Tuck?

The best candidates for abdominoplasty are in good shape and excellent health but are unable to get rid of extra fat and skin around the abdomen through diet and exercise. A tummy tuck may be a good option for patients who have lost skin elasticity due to age, pregnancy, or obesity.

To find out if you are a candidate, contact us to arrange a tummy tuck evaluation.

How Does a Tummy Tuck Work?

Prior to your surgery, Dr. Kjar will give you specific preoperative guidelines. Carefully follow these instructions. Abdominoplasty is typically performed on an outpatient basis, under general anesthesia. Tummy tuck surgery can require from two to five hours to perform. Dr. Kjar will remove excess skin and fat from the abdominal wall, creating a firmer midsection and narrower waistline. The full recovery time for abdominoplasty may take several months.

Your abdominoplasty will include a consultation and services from Candessa Aesthetics at no extra cost, which will also help to improve your recovery.
